Tips, included in budget or not?

Tips are appreciated but never expected. If we expect a certain amount from a client every time they come in and count on that to pay our bills, what happens when they tip less?

This is why pricing your services correctly is so important. The service cost should take care of products used, overhead used during that time of service such as rent, phone, booking system, etc, while still generating revenue.

Side note: Even though tips are bonus revenue, I still include tips as part of my income for tax purposes. All revenue is claimed, tips are just kept separate from my weekly total until I pay myself.
